This past August my son Michael joined the Air Force. While working for MPR, Michael was responsible for posting website updates on current shop projects along with assisting on construction and fabrication of jobs here in the shop. He is really missed and the website lack of updates is just one of the holes that needs to be filled. It wont be easy to find someone with his skills, but we are working on it.
Drag Pak 2010 #49 is now being painted by AutoCrafters. This Challenger will get a Jeff Taylor Performance Street Version 6.1 Hemi and a Joel's 727 Torqueflite. More to come soon!
Jack Hodge dropped off his Super Cobra Jet Mustang for wheelie bars. An MPR master cylinder and brake pedal assembly is also being installed.
Mike Mahalik's 2009 Drag Pak #17 is ready to roll out the door. MPR fabricated and installed the Strange Dana 60 Drag Pak suspension and 4130 roll cage. Mike plans to compete in Stock Eliminator with a manual transmission and a 6.1 Hemi. We are hoping to see this Challenger in Division 3 competition in the 2012 season!
The MPR Ramchargers Drag Pak ran very strong this past season. Qualifying #9 overall at the U.S. Nationals with a 9.88 et. This was the quickest 392 Hemi in STock Eliminator at the U.S. Nationals this year. We also made the cover of the Drag Racer Nov/Dec issue and a feature article in the magazine as well.
